Frequently Asked Questions
Below are answers to the questions we hear most often about Quantum's EHS compliance platform, covering what's included, how implementation works, and what to expect from support after you're live.
Quantum’s platform is built around a set of modules that can be used together or on their own, depending on what your program needs: Q-Hazard for hazard identification and reporting, Q-Inspection for scheduled and ad-hoc safety inspections, Q-Incident for incident reporting and investigation, Q-Training for training assignment and tracking, Q-Risk for risk assessment, Q-BBSO for behavior-based safety observations, Q-Carbon for carbon accounting, Q-Chem for chemical and safety data sheet management, Contractor Management for onboarding and monitoring outside contractors, and Document Management for storing and controlling compliance documentation.
Most customers start with the module or modules that address their most pressing compliance need, then add more over time. The platform is designed so modules share the same underlying system, which keeps data connected across modules as you expand rather than requiring separate logins or duplicate data entry.
Yes. Quantum’s mobile app has been in production for years and is used by field teams to complete inspections, report hazards and incidents, and access training on the go, without needing a desktop or laptop nearby.
The mobile app is built for the tasks people need to do in the field: submitting inspections, reporting hazards or incidents, and completing assigned training. Administrative tasks like configuring workflows, building reports, and managing user permissions are typically handled from the desktop system.
Q-Training uses a pre-quiz approach instead of assigning full training modules to every employee regardless of what they already know. Employees are quizzed on the material first, and the system identifies what they already understand versus what they still need to complete. That means employees spend their training time on the material that’s actually new to them, rather than sitting through content they’ve already mastered.
Pricing depends on which modules you need, how many users will be on the system, and your organization’s specific requirements. The best way to get an accurate quote is to talk with our team directly so we can scope it to your situation rather than quoting a generic number that may not reflect what you actually need.
We offer live demos where our team walks through the modules relevant to your use case and answers questions specific to your workflows. Demos are typically scheduled for about an hour, which gives enough time to go deep on the modules you care about most.
Implementation timelines vary based on the number of modules being deployed, how much data needs to be migrated from your current system, and how much configuration your workflows require. Your onboarding team will walk you through a specific timeline as part of implementation planning.
Integration needs vary by customer and by module. Talk with our team about your existing systems (HRIS, LMS, or other software you rely on) so we can confirm what’s supported for your situation.
Customers have access to ongoing support after implementation for troubleshooting, configuration questions, and general product guidance. Reach out to your account contact or support channel with specifics and they’ll route you appropriately.
Yes. Modules like Q-Risk and Q-Inspection are built to be configured around your organization’s existing methodologies (for example, your risk matrix or your inspection checklist structure) rather than forcing you into a fixed process.
Contractor Management uses a two-portal system: one portal for your organization and one for the contractor’s company, personnel, and project details. Contractors submit required documents for approval, apply for project-based work, and complete embedded safety inspections as part of the workflow, and performance evaluation tools give your team visibility into how each contractor performs on-site.
Quantum has over 40 years of experience building EHS compliance software, since 1985.
Quantum is built for EHS, safety, and compliance teams across industries who need to manage hazards, inspections, incidents, training, risk, and related compliance workflows in one connected platform, rather than juggling separate point tools.
Reach out to our team to schedule a demo. We’ll walk through which modules fit your current needs and put together next steps from there.
